Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. O'Dell's reporting on the lax response of the police in response to DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was honored by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. In addition, she serves as co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has reported on events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted the Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
